Here’s more from Panasonic:

On Tuesday, December 15, Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America will release the first episode of The Panasonic Sound Experience, a new four-episode podcast that reveals the emerging innovations of immersive sound design in vehicles, and what it takes to build the perfect audio system.

"At Panasonic, we have a long history of developing cutting-edge technology to create a premium in-car audio experience that makes driving both safer and more enjoyable for consumers," said Andrew Poliak, CTO of Panasonic Automotive Systems. "Our fully-integrated solutions are revolutionizing the driving experience from your navigation and head-up display, to infotainment systems and e-cockpit design – and with partners such as ELS, Fender and Klipsch we're able to deliver next-gen audio that delivers the best in-vehicle experience possible."

Produced by Muddhouse Media, a start-up original content podcast network that brings creative minds, intellectual experts and gifted storytellers together.  The first episode of The Panasonic Sound Experience focuses on capturing authenticity, artistry and emotion in automotive sound design and features interviews with Panasonic Automotive Executive Vice President, Allen Kudla, and Grammy Award winning producer, sound engineer Elliot Scheiner and recording producer, Matthew Scheiner.

"Audiophiles will appreciate the complexity and nuances of premium sound, but we wanted to share that deeper knowledge with a wider audience by highlighting the behind-the-scenes innovation in a podcast series," said Allen Kudla. Centered around Apple Watch, the new program takes fitness metrics from the user’s watch and creates personalized workouts, including high-intensity interval training, yoga, and core. Additionally, users can share their workouts with friends and family, and track their progress against others who have completed the same workout. The program features a variety of Fitness+ trainers, as well as a large selection of music to exercise to. Fitness+ can be accessed on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV for flexibility. Keep reading for more in-depth info from Apple:

Apple today announced Fitness+, the first fitness experience built around Apple Watch, is launching Monday, December 14. Apple Fitness+ brings studio-style workouts to iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, intelligently incorporating workout metrics from Apple Watch for a first-of-its-kind personalized and immersive experience users can complete wherever and whenever is convenient for them. Apple Fitness+ will launch with 10 of the most popular workout types, including High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Strength, Yoga, Dance, Core, Cycling, Treadmill (for running and walking), Rowing, and Mindful Cooldown, led by a phenomenal team of trainers whose approach is welcoming to all. The workouts are fueled by inspiring music from today’s top artists designed to keep users motivated from start to finish.

“Being more active is one of the most important things we can do for our health, but we know choosing to work out can often be a challenge whether you’re very active or just getting started,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s senior director of Fitness Technologies. “We’re excited for Apple Fitness+ to bring together the metrics from Apple Watch, great music, and a diverse and inspiring trainer team — in a uniquely simple, easy-to-access way across Apple devices — to encourage our users to get fit and stay healthy.”

Integration with Apple Watch

Apple Fitness+ dynamically integrates personal metrics from Apple Watch to inspire users, animating them on the screen during key moments in the workout, providing an engaging and immersive experience to help users stay motivated. For example, when the trainer says to check heart rate, the heart rate metrics are spotlighted; during tough intervals, a countdown timer starts to help users get through to the last second; and when they close their Activity rings, a celebration happens right on the workout screen.

For those who enjoy a little competition, HIIT, Treadmill, Cycling, and Rowing workouts have an optional Burn Bar that shows, in real time, how a user’s effort stacks up against anyone who has previously completed the same workout.

Simplicity of Finding Great Workouts

Apple Fitness+ makes getting started with a great workout quick and simple with an intuitive filter that allows users to choose their trainer, time, workout, and music to get to their next workout in seconds. There is also an intelligent recommendation engine that considers workouts previously completed in Fitness+, the Apple Watch Workout app, and favorite third-party fitness apps that integrate with the Health app. Fitness+ recommends workouts that match what the user already enjoys doing so they can jump right in with something familiar, suggests they try something new, helps them discover a new trainer, or proposes a workout to complement their current routine.

Each week, Fitness+ delivers new content across all workout types with a variety of trainers, times, and music. For those who are just starting out, trying something new, or getting back into exercising, several members of the trainer team lead Absolute Beginner workouts that teach the basics of HIIT, Strength, Core, and Yoga, as an option to prepare for the weekly studio workouts. Rowing, Cycling, and Treadmill workouts also feature Getting Started videos that show how to set up the equipment, and introduce proper form and technique.

With Activity Sharing, users can allow friends and family to see Fitness+ workouts completed, and workouts can also be shared to their favorite social media channels.

Fitness for All

Apple Fitness+ features a team of celebrated, charismatic, and passionate trainers who are specialists in their fields, working together to create outstanding fitness content for everyone. The trainers also appear in each others’ workouts, giving users the chance to be inspired by a favorite trainer, while also getting motivation from the rest of the team. Additionally, all workouts include a trainer demonstrating modifications, so users of varying ability levels have someone to follow.

Motivating Music

Music is a central part of the Apple Fitness+ experience, and the trainer team weaves music throughout the design of every workout. Users can choose from nine different styles, including Latest Hits, Chill Vibes, Upbeat Anthems, Pure Dance, Throwback Hits, Everything Rock, Latin Grooves, Hip Hop/R&B, and Top Country, and see the full workout playlist before they start. They can also filter by music to find the right workout to fit their current mood. An Apple Music subscription is not required to enjoy the music in Fitness+, but for those who have one, favorite songs or an entire playlist from Fitness+ workouts can be downloaded to their Apple Music library to listen anytime.

Flexibility to Work Out Anywhere

Apple Fitness+ gives subscribers the option to work out anywhere and at anytime with the screen that best suits them across iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. And regardless of where users begin a workout, personalized recommendations are synced across devices.

Many Fitness+ workouts require no equipment at all or just a set of dumbbells, and Cycling, Treadmill, and Rowing workouts can be done using equipment from any manufacturer. For ultimate flexibility, most workouts range in increments of 10, 20, 30, and 45 minutes.

Getting Started With Apple Fitness+

Apple Fitness+ will be available Monday, December 14, and requires iOS 14.3, watchOS 7.2, iPadOS 14.3, and tvOS 14.3. For Apple Watch users, Apple Fitness+ will automatically appear as a new tab in the Fitness app on iPhone; the Fitness app for iPad will be available to download from the App Store; and on Apple TV, the Fitness app will automatically appear once users upgrade to tvOS 14.3.

    • Fitness+ will be available as a subscription service for $9.99 (US) per month or $79.99 (US) per year.1
    • Fitness+ can be shared among up to six family members for the same price, making it easy for other Apple Watch users in the household to enjoy the service.
    • Three months of Apple Fitness+ are included for customers who purchase Apple Watch Series 3 or later and one month of Fitness+ is included for existing Apple Watch users.2
    • Apple Fitness+ is included in the Apple One Premier plan, which, where available, also gives customers access to Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and 2TB of iCloud storage for $29.95 per month, and can be shared among up to six family members.

Designed to provide consumers with a fast, convenient, and effortless method to setup, calibrate, and control their Enclave Audio CineHome system, the CineSync program enables TVs and streaming appliances to remove the need for the use of a mobile device app and supports full, on-screen TV access to the complete suite of settings available for Enclave CineHome II and CineHome PRO systems via the TV or streaming device remote already in the customer's hands.

Supported via the Android TV, Apple tvOS, Amazon Fire, and Roku TV Ready platforms, the Enclave CineSync program is designed to deliver a single-cable, plug-and-play, high-definition wireless 5.1 channel audio experience to consumers that seamlessly integrates with their existing home entertainment ecosystem.

When combined with any compatible Android TV or Amazon Fire platform TV/streaming device, consumers can choose from Bluetooth or USB connectivity to the Enclave CineHub for complete system integration into their entertainment system with the push of a button. Leveraging Apple’s tvOS supported Bluetooth connectivity, consumers can use their Apple TV streaming appliance to enjoy full on-screen control of their Enclave CineHub-based sound system.

TV panels that are compatible with the CineSync program include Android TV models that are offered by: Sony, Hisense, TCL, Skyworth, Sharp, and Phillips. Additionally, the Amazon Fire TV Edition models and US-based Roku TV’s are also compatible with the program.

Streaming appliances compatible with Enclave’s CineSync program include: Apple TV, AT&T TV, Google Chromecast with Google TV, Amazon Fire Cube, Amazon Fire Stick, Nvidia Shield, TiVo Stream 4K, T-Mobile TVision, Verizon Stream TV, and Xiaomi Mi.

Additionally, projectors and laser TV’s from Epson, Optoma, Hisense, Nebula, Fengmi, Xgimi, and Vava are also Enclave CineSync program compatible.

“While the TV or streaming appliance remote control does most of the daily work for Enclave customers, we designed the CineSync Program to enable consumers to enjoy a more streamlined and convenient method to setup, calibrate, and control their new CineHub-based wireless surround sound system,” said Rob Jones, CTO for Enclave Audio.

“By removing the tether of a mobile device or tablet and transferring the setup process directly to the big screen, the remote and the equipment that customers are already familiar with become the vehicle through which they can access, modify and personalize all the in-depth audio settings the Enclave sound system enables. This program not only makes initial set-up faster and convenient, but provides the most intuitive and natural way for consumers to adjust their settings during day-to-day use.”

Warner Bros. Will Release Entire 2021 Slate on HBO Max

As 2020 comes to an end and stay-at-home orders are still being issued across the country, it looks as if theaters will most likely remain closed going into 2021. In lieu of this reality, Warner Bros. Pictures is releasing their entire 2021 film slate both on HBO Max and in theaters (those that are still open, of course). With films such as Mortal Kombat, Dune, Matrix 4, and Godzilla vs. Kong expected to be released in the upcoming year, the announcement is a welcome update for those who were worried about missing out on big blockbusters. If you don’t already have an HBO Max subscription or are looking to renew, check out the platform's current subscription deal.

Keep reading for more info from HBO and Warner Bros.:

Today, the Warner Bros. Pictures Group announced that it has committed to releasing its 2021 film slate via a unique, consumer-focused distribution model in which Warner Bros. will continue to exhibit the films theatrically worldwide, while adding an exclusive one month access period on the HBO Max streaming platform in the U.S. concurrent with the film’s domestic release. The hybrid model was created as a strategic response to the impact of the ongoing global pandemic, particularly in the U.S. Following the one month HBO Max access period domestically, each film will leave the platform and continue theatrically in the U.S. and international territories, with all customary distribution windows applying to the title. All films will be available in 4K Ultra HD and HDR on HBO Max. This announcement was made today by Ann Sarnoff, Chair and CEO, WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Group (of which Warner Bros. is part) and Jason Kilar, CEO, WarnerMedia.

Warner Bros. Pictures Group’s 2021 expected* release slate currently includes The Little Things, Judas and the Black Messiah, Tom & Jerry, Godzilla vs. Kong, Mortal Kombat, Those Who Wish Me Dead, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, In The Heights, Space Jam: A New Legacy, The Suicide Squad, Reminiscence, Malignant, Dune, The Many Saints of Newark, King Richard, Cry Macho and Matrix 4.

“We’re living in unprecedented times which call for creative solutions, including this new initiative for the Warner Bros. Pictures Group,” said Sarnoff. “No one wants films back on the big screen more than we do. We know new content is the lifeblood of theatrical exhibition, but we have to balance this with the reality that most theaters in the U.S. will likely operate at reduced capacity throughout 2021. With this unique one-year plan, we can support our partners in exhibition with a steady pipeline of world-class films, while also giving moviegoers who may not have access to theaters or aren’t quite ready to go back to the movies the chance to see our amazing 2021 films. We see it as a win-win for film lovers and exhibitors, and we’re extremely grateful to our filmmaking partners for working with us on this innovative response to these circumstances.”

“After considering all available options and the projected state of moviegoing throughout 2021, we came to the conclusion that this was the best way for WarnerMedia’s motion picture business to navigate the next 12 months,” said Kilar. “More importantly, we are planning to bring consumers 17 remarkable movies throughout the year, giving them the choice and the power to decide how they want to enjoy these films. Our content is extremely valuable, unless it’s sitting on a shelf not being seen by anyone. We believe this approach serves our fans, supports exhibitors and filmmakers, and enhances the HBO Max experience, creating value for all.”

“This hybrid exhibition model enables us to best support our films, creative partners and moviegoing in general throughout 2021,” said Toby Emmerich, Chairman, Warner Bros. Pictures Group. “We have a fantastic, wide ranging slate of titles from talented and visionary filmmakers next year, and we’re excited to be able get these movies in front of audiences around the world. And, as always, we’ll support all of our releases with innovative and robust marketing campaigns for their theatrical debuts, while highlighting this unique opportunity to see our films domestically via HBO Max as well.”
