Techno meets percussive styles from Kenya.
One The Corner is releasing Alai K’s debut album, Kila Mara, this February.
Across the album he combines techno elements and rhythms with percussive styles from Kenya.
“I want to express the feeling of techno, but bring something new, from somewhere else,” he explains. “Drums are spiritual – however they’re used.”
Kila Mara follows the label’s release of Uffe’s Words and Endings album, in October.
