Product Launch: xDuoo XD-05 BAL DAC/AMP

xDuoo’s XD-05 portable DAC/AMP put itself on the map for its reasonable pricing, high-end specification and generous power output. It’s been a few years since this product was launched and in true, xDuoo fashion, the company has been hard at work on a refresh that updates the specs and appends issues with the former.

Welcome the XD-05 BAL, that sits atop their portable DAC/AMP line up. It introduces dual ESS 9038Q2M DAC chips alongside a huge 1000mW of output power and BT5.0. A 5000mah battery powers the show and, as the name suggests, flexible SE and balanced outputs permit the XD-05 to drive a very wide range of gear.

The XD-05 BAL is available on Apos Audio for $429 USD.
